Large Reflector #1, 2013
Located in Central Park, New York, "Large Reflector #1" is a virtual sculpture with rotating panels that are mirrors which, instead of reflecting the current surroundings, reflect the same 360 view in Google Street view of the same park location. This is an object that exists between the two worlds. The title is also a reference to Duchamp's "Large Glass," which in this case reflectis the site of the virtual spectator. |
